If you are looking at this site then you probably already recognize that life sometimes becomes overwhelming and unbearable. When we're feeling stuck, confused or alone, therapy can help us to untangle our emotions, clarify our struggles, and better understand ourselves and others - ultimately forming inroads to real and lasting change.

We believe deeply in the transformative potential and enduring nature of psychotherapy. I will establish a safe, non-judgmental space where our mutual exploration of your relationships, family dynamics, career, depression, life transitions, children’s issues, communications or whatever is troubling you and assist you with opening pathways to new awareness and opportunities to welcome change, growth and healing.

You can harness natural strength and resilience. We will work with (instead of against) established patterns of thinking and feeling to shape difficult experiences into acceptance of unchangeable realities. Together we will learn how to work towards developing improved insight, awareness and remove blocks and barriers that will lead to personal growth and access to more life choices to allow you to live life more fully.

Audrey Campbell is a Virginia-Licensed Professional Counselor, as well as a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor. She is passionate about promoting healthy relationships with self, partner, family and ultimately the world around us. It is her belief that when we experience health in our relationships with self and others we are able to live our lives in fullness and be agents of healing and health for others. She loves working as a psychotherapist; joining with others in the courageous journey of self-exploration and positive life change. Audrey truly believes it is an honor to walk with another person on their journey.  

Audrey attained a Master's degree from Virginia Commonwealth University. She has worked at a regional jail, community service board of directors and with companies which focus on servicing clients with severe mental health challenges. Within the penal system, she worked with substance abusers and individuals with mental health disorders. Her specialties are include trauma, substance abuse, post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), depression and anxiety. Audrey has worked extensively with both adults and adolescents.

Audrey has completed coursework in play therapy and has worked with children who have suffered from abuse. Her most sincere desire is to be a conduit of change for others. This could be as a person heals after overwhelming or traumatic experiences or with a person who just has a desire to improve their relationship with self and others.
